Our Process

Our floor restoration process produces quality results that have won awards and satisfied hundreds of customers

Product Selection

We go over all your options to help you meet your finished product goals and wood type. Generally, we recommend Low-VOC Commercial water based and Oil based finishes for a longevity with less fumes. Extra Low and Zero VOC products are also available.

Prepping The Space

Before We start any work, we take the necessary steps to minimize the mess that happens during a floor restoration. We clear the area and use plastic to protect the surrounding space and furniture from dust and debris. We then carefully remove the floors molding to reinstall later.

Sanding Floors

We sand the entire floor to remove the top layer of damaged wood and then proceed to lightly sand and buff out any imperfections. To ensure the entire floor is smooth we sand the edges. Based on your selected options we leave stain samples for you to choose from. Upon request we can use an Advanced Dustless Sanding System.

Staining the Floors

The dust and debris from sanding is cleared and we buff the floor to make a leveled surface for the stain and finish. We apply the stain chosen and the first coat of finish. If a special finishing option is requested, we perform that process before adding the stain and finish.

Final Coating

To prepare the floor for the final coat of finish, we buff the floor once more to remove any scuff marks that might have occurred during drying. After clearing the floor of debris again the final coat of finish is applied to the floor.

Post Installation Cleanup

After the final coat of finish has dried, we will reinstall the molding that was removed during prepping. The plastic covering will be removed and we'll clean up any dust or debris that our restoration left behind.

Modern Finish Options

We use new modern finish options to create unique color finishes with conditioners. Ask us about these modern options at your consultation!
